We provide on-site support only in Lombardy, but the the lab and data recovery are national: ship servers, disks or RAID arrays to our offices in Melzo (MI), we carry out the work, and we return everything to you. We regularly work with customers from all over Italy: Lazio, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Toscana, Puglia, Sicilia, Sardegna. A proven procedure, insured courier, prepaid label on request.
01 / What you can ship us
What we accept.
HDD, SSD, NVMe
SAS, SATA, NVMe enterprise disks. M.2, U.2, AIC SSDs. Also batches of RAID disks extracted from the original server (see correct procedure below).
Set completo array
Set of RAID disks removed from the server with slot-order labelling. Dedicated controller if we suspect a controller failure. Array documentation (RAID level, stripe size, parity).
Apparati storage
NAS Synology, QNAP, Western Digital up to 12 bays. Entry-level SAN storage (Dell PowerVault, HPE MSA). For larger enterprise solutions we arrange an on-site intervention at one of our regional partners.
02 / How funziona
7 step trasparenti.
- Contatto iniziale — a phone call or email describing the problem, the server/drive model, and the urgency. We immediately determine whether it can be handled remotely/in the lab or whether on-site is needed (in which case we refer you to a local partner of ours).
- Preventivo orientativo — entro 1 giorno lavorativo riceverai un'indicazione di costo (forfait diagnostica + range stimato per l'intervento) e l'prepaid label del corriere se richiesta.
- Imballaggio — the server must be packed properly: a sturdy box, at least 5 cm of bubble wrap/polystyrene on all sides, drives removed from the carriers only if necessary and packed separately with a slot-order label. We provide detailed guidelines.
- Shipping — via insured express courier (GLS, BRT, TNT, DHL): 24-48h from most of Italy, Sicily/Sardinia 48-72h. Real-time tracking sent to both parties.
- Diagnostics on arrival — within 24-48h of delivery. Detailed technical report by email with a final quote and timeline.
- Execution intervento — upon your approval of the quote. 1-7 business days depending on complexity. Updates during the work.
- Return — server repacked to the same standards, returned by insured express courier. Tracking sent. Final invoicing after delivery.
03 / Imballaggio
How imballare the server properly.
Packaging is the most critical phase: a server that arrives damaged from a courier drop can make data recovery impossible. Essential guidelines:
- Scatola di cartone doppia onda, at least 5 cm larger than the server on each side
- Pluriball o polistirolo in cuscini di almeno 5 cm spessore intorno a tutti i lati e angoli
- RAID disks: leave in the carriers if possible, otherwise remove and pack individually in antistatic cases labeled "Slot No.1", "Slot No.2", etc. — order is crucial for array rebuild
- Power cables: disconnected and stored in a separate bag
- Etichetta esterna visible with: "THIS WAY UP ↑ FRAGILE ⚠ DO NOT TURN OVER"

04 / Shipping costs
Costi trasparenti.

Insured express courier shipping. Cost varies by weight, dimensions, distance, urgency. From Sicilia/Sardegna it costs more (90-220€).

If the quote is accepted, the prepaid shipping label is included in the service (re-billed at cost). On request, we immediately provide the label and packaging material.
fino a 25.000€
Integrated courier insurance up to €25,000. For servers of higher value we arrange supplementary insurance (quoted separately).
Solo diagnostica
If you do not accept the quote, you pay only the flat-rate diagnostics (from €250 + VAT) and the return shipping (courier cost at your expense).

Posso spedirvi il server da fuori Lombardy?+
Yes. On-site support is limited to Lombardy, but the in-lab support and data recovery service is nationwide. We regularly work with clients in Lazio, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Toscana, Puglia and Sicilia.
How does shipping work?+

Who pays for the shipping?+
If the quote is accepted, round-trip shipping is included or re-charged at cost for Italian customers. If not accepted, you pay only the flat-rate diagnostics (from €250 + VAT) and the return shipping.
Is the server insured during shipping?+
Yes. We use couriers with integrated insurance up to €25,000 per shipment. For servers of higher value we arrange supplementary insurance on request.
Can I come to Melzo in person to bring the server?+
Certainly. The office is in Melzo (MI), convenient from central Milan (40 min by car) and from the A4 motorway (Cavenago-Cambiago exit). By appointment.
How long does the complete process take?+
Diagnostics + quote: 24-72h from arrival. Intervention: 1-7 working days depending on complexity. Return shipment: 24-48h by express courier. Average total time: 5-10 days from dispatch.
Can a 30 kg server be delivered by courier?+
Yes, express couriers handle single packages up to 70 kg. For 30-40 kg servers we recommend a pallet, a slightly higher price but greater mechanical protection. Above 50 kg we arrange a dedicated carrier.
