Servizio · Virtualization hypervisor

Virtualization server enterprise.

La server virtualization is the foundation of modern IT: a single physical hardware hosting dozens of isolated virtual machines. It reduces licensing and hardware costs, simplifies backup and disaster recovery, and enables scalability. We are specialized in VMware vSphere 8, Proxmox VE 8, Microsoft Hyper-V 2025, KVM, Citrix Hypervisor.

02 / Hypervisor supportati

Hypervisor supportati

  • VMware vSphere 8 / ESXi 8 · de facto enterprise standard with vCenter, vMotion, DRS, HA, FT, vSAN, NSX
  • Proxmox VE 8 · open source with native cluster, replication, integrated backup, a concrete alternative to vSphere
  • Microsoft Hyper-V 2022/2025 · ideal for homogeneous Windows estates, integrated with SCVMM
  • KVM / oVirt / RHV · su Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenStack
  • Citrix Hypervisor e Oracle VM · legacy environments still widely deployed
03 / Services di virtualizzazione

Services di virtualizzazione

  • Design cluster HA with quorum, fencing, iSCSI/NFS/FC shared storage, network redundancy
  • P2V migration (Physical to Virtual): conversion of existing physical servers into VMs
  • V2V migration (Virtual to Virtual): migration between different hypervisors (e.g. ESXi → Proxmox)
  • Provisioning automatizzato with Terraform, Ansible, Packer
  • Backup VM immutable with Veeam Backup & Replication, Nakivo, Acronis Cyber Protect
  • Disaster Recovery with geographic replication and automatic site failover
04 / When virtualization makes sense

When virtualization makes sense

  • Server consolidation: 10 underused physical machines → 1-2 physical hosts with 10 VMs
  • Test and development: isolated environments created in minutes with rollback snapshots
  • High availability: vMotion moves VMs between hosts without downtime during maintenance
  • Business continuity: VM replication to a geographically separate DR site
  • Reduced energy consumption and rack space
05 / FAQ

Most frequent technical questions about virtualization.

VMware vSphere o Proxmox VE: quale to choose per una PMI?+
For SMBs of up to 50-100 users, Proxmox VE 8 is often more cost-effective: free native clustering, integrated backup, snapshots, replication, without the vSphere licensing costs post-Broadcom. VMware remains the better choice for complex enterprise environments with vSAN, NSX, SRM integration.
How much does a VMware vSphere 8 license cost after the Broadcom acquisition?+
Broadcom has consolidated its price list around vSphere Foundation (vSF) and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) bundles with minimum subscriptions often higher than in the past. For many SMBs the increase is +50/100%. Hence the strong interest in migrating to Proxmox VE or Hyper-V.
P2V migration (Physical to Virtual): timelines and risks?+
Average time: 4-12 hours per physical server, weekend window. Typical risks: incompatible drivers (Windows with old installation), I/O bottleneck on virtual disk, license tracking in the guest OS. To limit them: hardware pre-validation, testing on a clone, fall-back ready.
Backup VM enterprise: Veeam, Nakivo, Acronis?+
Veeam Backup & Replication v12 is the de facto standard. Nakivo is a more economical alternative for SMBs. Acronis Cyber Protect integrates backup + cybersecurity (anti-ransomware). For Microsoft Hyper-V workloads: Veeam + immutable Hardened Repository remains the best.
Cluster HA VMware: minimo server richiesti?+
Technically 2 hosts + shared iSCSI/FC/NFS storage. Production-grade: 3 hosts (for quorum), shared storage or vSAN. For HA with vSAN, 3 hosts minimum + a witness host. For Stretched clusters (multi-site) at least 2+2 hosts + witness are required.
